It was a dominate first day for Iowa Wrestling recruits Spencer Lee and Gavin Teasdale at the Powerade at Canon-McMillan High School in Canonsburg, PA.  The Powerade is considred one of the toughest high school tournaments in the country.  Lee, from Franklin Regional High School (Murrysville, PA) recorded three Falls in :20, 0:47, and 3:34.  Lee now faces Jordan Ward of Moeller, OH in the semifinals.

Teasdale, from Jefferson-Morgan, PA,  started the tournament with two Falls in 1:30 and 3:46 before winning 12-6 in the quarterfinals. Teasdale will now face Colton Camacho of Franklin Regional in the semifinals.

Lee is the headliner in the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2017 and is a three-time defending Freestyle World Champion.  Teasdale is a junior and is the current headliner in the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2018.
