Iowa Wrestling will have an Open Mat on Saturday morning, September 23 before the football game. An Open Mat is an unsupervised voluntary workout for Iowa and Hawk Club wrestlers. This is a huge weekend for Iowa Wrestling as they will be entertaining recruits for the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2018.

The doors of the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex will be open at 11 AM and the workouts will be between 11:30 AM and 1 PM. The bleachers will be pulled out and fans like you are welcomed to to attend.
The football game is not until 6:30 that evening. So calling out to Iowa Wrestling fans to show up in force at the Open Mat to show why we have led the country in attendance for eleven consecutive years. Let’s flex our muscles as fans so to speak and be in the Iowa Wrestling room to show these recruits why Iowa is the best place to wrestle.
