Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits will be competing in tournaments to qualify for their State tournament this weekend. Anthony Cassioppi of Hononegah High School (Roscoe, IL) will be at Sectionals in Barrington on Friday and Saturday, February 9-10. The top four wrestlers at each weight qualify for State.
Nelson Brands of Iowa City, IA (West HS) will be at the 3A Districts in Mount Pleasant on Saturday. Joe Kelly of West Liberty will be competing at the 2A Districts at Fairfield. The top two at each weight qualifies for State.
The Iowa and Illinois state tournament will be held next weekend on February 15-17.
