Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruit Anthony Cassioppi won the USAW Junior Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  Cassioppi stormed to the finals with four first period pins in 0:47, 1:40, 0:44, and 0:40. In the finals at Hwt., Cassioppi, ranked fourth in the country, defeated nationally tenth ranked Nash Hutmacher of South Dakota by a 3-1 decision for the title.

Cassioppi, of Hononegah High School (Roscoe, IL), is joined by Nelson Brands of Iowa City, IA (West HS) and Joe Kelly of West Liberty, IA as the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2018.
