The University of Iowa Wrestling program will have a strong group of wrestlers competing at the 8th Annual Lindenwood Open on Saturday, November 17. The action will take place at the Hyland Arena on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Wrestling begins at 9 AM. The tournament will run straight through and breaks will be taken as time permits.
Currently there are 33 teams registered to compete from across the country including Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Northwestern, Illinois, and Missouri.
With several weights hotly contested at wrestle-offs, there is an added importance to this tournament. Specifically 141 and 157 had close matches in the wrestle-offs. Iowa will be very well represented at both of those weights in this tournament. I am looking forward to the college debut of Aaron Cashman.
