The USA Women’s Wrestling program is in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a 10-day Senior National Team Camp.  All five of the women wrestlers in the Hawkeye Wrestling Club are on the team: Alli Ragan, Forrest Molinari, Lauren Louive, Kayla Miracle, and Michaela Beck.

Alli Ragan, a two-time World Silver medalist, made her sixth straight world team last year but was unable to compete at the 2018 World Freestyle Championships due to injury.  Forrest Molinari made her first World team last year and placed fifth at the 2018 World Freestyle Championships.  Molinari also won a Gold at the 2018 Pan American Championships. Molinari and Kayla Miracle were on the U23 World Team.

2019 should be a big year for these HWC wrestlers.

Former Iowa NCAA national champion Terry Steiner, head coach of the Women’s National Team, is head coach for the training camp.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.
