Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruit Cobe Siebrecht of Lisbon, IA has been named an NWCA/USMC Leadership and Character All-American.  The award was presented by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and the United States Marine Corps. This award is to recognize wrestlers’ excellence both on and off the mat.  The criteria for this award are:

Dependability – Judgement – Endurance – Initiative – Tact – Integrity – Unselfishness – Loyalty – Courage

Siebrecht won a 1A State title this past season at 138 lbs. He was a State Runner-Up at 106 lbs. in 2017 and at 126 lbs. in 2018.  Siebrecht was also named to the 2018 and 2019 First Team All Academic by The Predicament. Siebrecht is projected to compete at 141/149 for the Hawks.

Siebrecht is a member of the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2019 that also includes Abe Assad of Carol Stream, IL (Glenbard North HS) and Zach Glazier of Albert Lea, MN (Albert Lea Area HS).
