Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruit Ryan Sokol won a Minnesota State title in Freestyle and Greco-Roman this weekend. Both of Sokol’s titles were in the Junior division at 138 lbs. In winning his titles, Sokol was 6-0 with 6 tech falls and outscored his opponents 65-1.
Sokol will now represent Team Minnesota at the Junior National Championships in Fargo, ND on July 14-19. Sokol is from Inver Grove Heights, MN (Simley HS) and is a member of the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2021.
