Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits competed at Junior Duals in Tulsa, OK this weekend. Competing at 182 lbs., Abe Assad was 5-1 in freestyle and 6-0 in Greco-Roman. Of his 11 total wins, Assad had five falls and six tech falls. Zach Glazier, also at 182 lbs., was 5-2 in freestyle and 2-0 in GR. Gabe Christenson was 1-3 in freestyle and 2-0 in GR at 195 lbs.
Assad and Glazier are in the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2019 and Christenson is in the Recruiting Class of 2020.
Iowa Assistant Wrestling Coach Ryan Morningstar was the head freestyle coach for Team Iowa. He will also serve as head coach for Team Iowa in Freestyle at Cadet/Junior Nationals.
The next competition for incoming recruits will be Cadet/Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND on July 13-16.
