Former Iowa wrestler Chad Beatty has been named as the new head wrestling coach at Highline College in Des Mones, Washington.  Highline is the only Junior College wrestling program in the state of Washington. Beatty has most recently been the head wrestling coach at Forest Grove High School in Forest Grove, Oregon.  He also coached under Mike Duroe at Cornell College.

Beatty was a two-time NCAA Qualifier at 197 lbs. in 2009 and 2010 for Tom Brands at the University of Iowa and a member of three NCAA and Big Ten championship teams, 2008-2010. He was a two-time state champion from Wilton, Iowa.  Beatty was a part of one of the greatest recruiting classes in Iowa High School wrestling history and definitely the best class ever for Eastern Iowa in 2005.

Congratulations to Chad Beatty and best of luck at Highline College.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

Go Hawks!
