Thomas Gilman of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club captured a bronze medal at 57kg/125.5 lbs. at the Continetal Cup in Khasavjurt, Russia.  Gilman dropped his first match to Mutaliev of Russia 10-8. In the bronze medal match, Gilman defeated Saliikh Muradov of Russia 6-0. 

Gilman won Gold at 57kg/125.5 lbs. at the Yusup Abdusalamov International in Botlikh, Dagestan, Russia earlier in the week. Gilman went 5-0 on the day to win the title over wrestlers mainly from Russia.

Sammy Brooks (86kg/189 lbs.) competed in the Continental Cup and did not place.
