Forrest Molinari captured a Bronze medal at the prestigious Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. After dropping a first round match to a wrestler from Japan, Molinari then defeated her opponent from Russia 9-3 in Repechage.  In the 68kg Bronze medal match, Molinari was down 8-1 to Talasin of China when she rolled through an inside cradle to get the pin with less than a minute to go in the match.

Sam Brooks (86kg) was behind Zakuev of Russia 8-0 in the first round.  Brooks came storming back to win 22-12. Brooks dropped his next matches against Zakuev of Mongolia 10-4 and was eliminated from the tournament.

Hawkeye Wrestling Club head coach Mark Perry was on the trip to corner the HWC wrestlers.
