Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruit Patrick Kennedy has been named to the 2020 MWCA All-State Academic Wrestling Team. The Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association selects the team that has two wrestlers at each weight. Kennedy was named for this award last year.
The 28 members of the Academic All-State Team will be awarded a plaque at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul during the State Tournament.
Kennedy is a three-time defending state champion at Kasson-Mantorville High School and is ranked #1 in the country at 182 lbs. Kennedy committed to Iowa on June 19, 2018 and is the top recruit in the outstanding Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2020.
Kennedy is projected to compete at 165/174 for the Hawks.
