It was another great weekend for incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits. Patrick Kennedy won his fourth Minnesota state title. Kennedy capped of a perfect 36-0 season with a 5-2 decision over Quayin Short (Simley) for the AA title at 182 lbs.
In District action, Bretli Reyna was 4-0 with four pins. Wyatt Henson won the 138 lbs. title at the WPIAL AAA Championships. In the finals, Henson defeated two-time state champion Sam Hillegas (NH) by a 4-3 decision. Hillegas is ranked #2 in the country at 138. That is a huge win for Henson.
Reyna and Henson will compete in their state tournament next weekend to wrap up the high school season for incoming recruits..
Kennedy and Reyna are in the outstanding Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2020 and Henson is in the Class of 2021.
