Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits Bretli Reyna and Wyatt Henson captured state titles.  Reyna rolled through the competition with a tech fall, major decision, and fall on the way to the finals where he won by a tech fall for the 3A 145 lbs. title. This was the fourth Florida state title for Reyna.

Wyatt Henson won a stacked Pennsylvania 3A 138 lbs. division to win a state title.  In the finals, Henson defeated Sam Hillegas of North Hills by a 4-3 decision.   Henson defeated Hillegas, who is ranked #2 in the country at 138 lbs., last Saturday in Districts as well.

Reyna is in the outstanding Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2020 and Henson is in the Class of 2021.

This marks the end of the High School season for incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits and what a great year it has been. My goal for coverage of our recruits is to inform and entertain wrestling fans that want to know what is coming up for the future of Iowa Wrestling.  With what I reported on this year I would say the future of Iowa Wrestling looks great.

I will now do my best to bring you results on how our incoming recruits do on the Freestyle circuit all the way through Junior Nationals in Fargo in July.
