The Big Ten Conference announced the schedule for the upcoming wrestling season.  Each team in the Big Ten will host and visit four conference opponents.

Iowa will have home meets against Minnesota(Jan 7), Purdue (Jan 9), Penn State(Jan 28), and Wisconsin (Feb 5).  The Hawks will be on the road to visit Northwestern(Jan 14), Illinois(Jan 16), Ohio State(Jan 21), and Nebraska(Feb 20).

HawkeyeSports.com stated that the remaining schedule would be announced at a later date.

Iowa has already committed to compete at National Duals on December 20-21 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with a great collection of highly ranked teams.  It is Iowa’s turn to go to Stillwater to compete against Oklahoma State and Iowa should be set to host Iowa State.

I am sure all fans will be marking their calendar for Friday, January 28 when Penn State comes to town.  No doubt that will be a sellout crowd with the entire wrestling community watching.

New season tickets are now on sale.

I am expecting record sales for season tickets and for the Iowa Wrestling Nation to set another attendance record for the upcoming season.

There is a lot to be excited about as an Iowa Wrestling fan.  The Hawks are the defending champions and picked to repeat with a loaded team. Not being able to see the Hawks in person last season will only make the crowds and excitement even bigger this season.

The Iowa Wrestling season can not start soon enough.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

Go Hawks!
