The Hawkeye Wrestling Club welcomed three new members to the program.  Victoria Francis, Rachel Watters, and Jordan Nelson are all set to join the HWC.  

Victoria Francis is currently ranked #3 at 76kg for Team USA. Francis placed fifth at the 2019 World Freestyle Championships for Team USA at 72 kg and placed 13th at 72 kg at the 2013 World Championships. She won a Bronze at the 2014 Junior Worlds at 72 kg. At Lindenwood Francis was a two-time (2015, 2016) WCWA national champion and four-time All-American and is originally from Litchfield, Illinois.

Rachel Watters is originally from Ankeny, Iowa and won a Sectional title at 145 lbs. for Ballard High School. Watters was a four-time WCWA All American and a national champion (2020 at 155 lbs.) at Oklahoma City University. She was named the Iowa/USA Wrestling Female Wrestler of the Year four times. Watters has been on three Junior World teams and two U23 World teams and has traveled extensively throughout her career representing Team USA.

Jordan Nelson is originally from Kingsland, Georgia.  At Life University she was a two-time WCWA All American and placed third at 170 lbs. this past year. Nelson competed in the 2021 Olympic Team Trials and at the HWC Wrestling Showdown Open last November.
