Iowa and Oklahoma State are going to add to the already anticipated dual meet matchup this season.  It was announced that Iowa will face off against Oklahoma State in a unique format on Saturday, February 12, 2022 for the Bout at the Ballpark. The dual meet will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the Texas Rangers baseball team. Globe Life Field has the largest retractable roof in the world so weather will not be a problem. The Iowa-Oklahoma State dual meet is always a big event every year as the two most successful programs in the history of college wrestling compete in a great rivalry. Both teams will be ranked high for this late season dual.

To add to the event there will be a dual meet between USA and Iran. Any time the USA and Iran compete in freestyle wrestling you are assured to be entertained with elite wrestling.  Iran has not competed in the USA since the World Cup in 2016. USA-Iran is a great rivalry that will be fun to watch.

There will be two mats by the pitcher’s mound and second base on a raised platform. The dual meets will alternate between the Iowa-Oklahoma State dual and USA-Iran dual. Seating will be available on the field. Total capacity will be 27,000.

The all-time attendance record was set on November 14, 2015 in a dual meet between Iowa and Oklahoma State in legendary Kinnick Stadium at the Grapple on the Gridiron. The Hawks won the meet 18-16 in front of 42,287 fans on a day to remember.

The bouts begin at 6:30 PM CST. FloWrestling will provide live coverage on their premium service.
