The Hawkeye Wrestling Club will hold their annual Arctic Plunge on Saturday, January 29, 2022. That is the day after the home Penn State dual meet. The Arctic Plunge is always one of the main fundraisers for the HWC every year. Iowa Wrestling is really a hot topic now so I decided to start promoting this event a little early.
The Arctic Plunge will take place at the Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville. The costume contest is at 4:30 PM followed by the jump at 5:15 and awards at 6.
I believe the record amount raised for this event was over $186,000. With the record shattering number of season tickets that have been sold, I see no reason for the fundraising record for the Arctic Plunge to be crushed as well. There will be a huge crowd coming into town for the much anticipated Penn State dual meet the night before. I see this fundraising record being broken.
