We have a big weekend of competition for our recruits. Kale Petersen will have a weekend full of tough wrestling. On Friday he will be at the HOI (Heartland of Iowa) Conference Tournament in Perry. On Saturday Petersen and Ryder Block will be at the always tough Ed Winger Classic in Urbandale. The late Ed Winger was the legendary voice of State for wrestling fans in Iowa. His iconic phrase before every session is one that we will never forget:
“Wrestlers clear the mats! Wrestlers clear the mats!”
Ben Kueter and Gabe Arnold will compete at home in the Bean City Duals at City High. The tournament is named after longtime City High coach Clyde Bean. Keyan Hernandez is competing at AA Duals in Great Falls, Montana on Saturday.
The regular season is wrapping up. Next weekend will be conference tournament week for Block, Kueter, and Arnold and then we will soon be into the tournament season.
