To say that I am excited about the Iowa-Penn State dual meet tonight is an understatement. There has been enough build up, so I do not feel a need to add too much to it.
How big is tonight’s meet? I just called the University of Iowa ticket office. As of 10:15 AM today, there are only 1,500 tickets left and over 13,000 sold. I am releasing this blog and taking it to social media and Hawkeye Report to help out those that are planning on walking up and buying a ticket tonight. Not gonna happen unless you scalp. I highly doubt these tickets will last much longer.
But hey, it’s just Iowa – Penn State, Brands – Sanderson, great weather for January in Iowa, Friday night dual, a lot of great matchups, an electric sellout crowd to be apart of.
Yes, the dual is live on Big Ten Network. But the vibe in legendary Carver-Hawkeye Arena will be amazing.
All of us Iowa Wrestling fans need to do our part and not just show up, but show up and flex our muscles as by far the greatest fanbase in college wrestling. In my opinion, Iowa Wrestling has the greatest fanbase advantage of any sport in the United States.
