Lisbon hosted a Freestyle and Greco Roman tournament on Sunday. Lisbon had a very strong showing with Cole Siebrecht, Cael Happel, Jarrod Alger, Quincy Happel, Cole Clark, and Matthias Kohl winning titles in Freestyle. Ryan Mohrfeld, Gavin Carmer, and Matthias Kohl won titles in Greco Roman.
Cael Happel and Ryan Mohrfeld captured titles in Cadets and Quincy Happel placed third in School Boy at Independence on Saturday in Freestyle. The three Lion wrestlers went a combined 15-1 with two falls and seven tech falls.
Lisbon will have wrestlers competing at Kids and Cadet State at Iowa City West High School on Saturday, May 6 and at Junior State Freestyle on Saturday, May 13 at Southeast Polk High School. These tournaments are qualifiers to make the Iowa team for the national tournament.
