Two Iowa wrestlers have been named as Big Ten Conference Distinguished Scholars. Phillip Laux (Brighton, Iowa) and Aaron Meyer (Pleasant Hill, Iowa) were announced by the Big Ten office for this prestigious honor.  To be named as a Distinguished Scholar, the student-athlete must maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Laux saw varsity action at 125 and 133  throughout his career at Iowa and recently graduated with a degree in Management. Aaron Meyer is a redshirt sophomore Health and Human Physiology major that competed at 141 lbs. this past season.

To go through the rigors of being an Iowa wrestler while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA is impressive.

Congratulations to Phillip Laux and Aaron Meyer for this prestigious honor.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

Go Hawks!
