FloWrestling has released their updated Recruiting Class of 2019 rankings.  Class of 2019 Iowa commit Abe Assad of Carol Stream, IL (Glenbard North HS) is ranked at #18 overall. Assad looked great in winning a Bronze at the Cadet World Freestyle Championships this summer and he is definitely who Iowa wanted. Assad is ranked #1 in the country at 182 by Flo. Assad is projected to compete at 184 in college.

Zach Glazier of Albert Lea, MN, an Iowa commit, is listed at #47 overall in the Class of 2019. Glazier is ranked #7 in the country at 170 lbs. Predicting what weight Glazier will go in college is a guess.  He could compete anywhere from 174-197.

Brevin Balmeceda of Homestead, FL (South Dade, HS) is ranked #12 overall on the Recruiting Class of 2019 list.  Balmeceda had Iowa as one of his final six colleges in a recent article. Balmeceda is ranked #1 at 160 lbs. by Flo.

Assad and Balmeceda will both compete in the Who’s #1 in Bethlehem, PA on Sunday, October 7.

Look for Iowa to add to their recruiting Class of 2019 by the time National Letter of Intent Signing Day arrives on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.
