The tournament season kicked off for several of our incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits. Abe Assad, Cobe Siebrecht, and Jesse Ybarra began their first round of competition on their way to becoming a state champion. Assad was 3-0 with three pins on the day to advance. Cobe Siebrecht was 2-0 with two pins to advance.
After winning his first two matches by fall, Jesse Ybarra took a forfeit in the finals of Sectionals. I do not have anything else to report on this.
Zach Glazier went up to 220 and won by a fall in a dual meet. Ryan Sokol picked up a fall and a major decision in dual meets.
Patrick Kennedy, Cullan Schriever, and Colby Schriever did not have any competition scheduled.
