Four members of the University of Iowa Wrestling program were named to the 2019 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division 1 All-Academic Team. Spencer Lee, Alex Marinelli, Jacob Warner, and Kaleb Young were named for the honor.  Lee has won an NCAA National title the last two years, Marinelli was an All-American in 2018 and 2019, and Warner and Young were All Americans this season.

Marinelli and Young are members of the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2016 and Lee and Warner were in the Recruiting Class of 2017.

From HawkeyeSports.com:

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.2 grade point average and have won 60 percent of their matches, or maintain a 3.0 GPA while earning All-America honors.

To have 40% of your starting lineup make this team is a great reflection of what Iowa Wrestling is all about.
