Kayla Miracle of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club will be competing in the U23 World Freestyle Championships in Budapest, Hungary on October 31-November 1.  Miracle will represent Team USA at 62kg/136.5 lbs. Miracle recently competed in the Senior World Freestyle Championships and placed fifth at 62kg in 2017 and 2018 at the U23 World Championships.

Miracle qualified for the U23 Worlds by winning the Women’s National Championships in Irving, TX in May where she was 5-0 with five tech falls.

Miracle won a Silver medal at the Cadet World Championships in 2012 and a Bronze at the 2014 and 2016 Junior World Championships.

U.S. Women’s Coach Terry Steiner will coach Team USA.  Steiner was an NCAA national champion and three-time All-American at Iowa.
