Jack McClimon joins the Iowa Wrestling program as a freshman this season. Originally from Channahon, Illinois McClimon is listed at 157 lbs.

McClimon competed for Minooka Community High School where he was a state runner-up and state qualifier.  He was named as Team MVP, Team Captain, and All State in 2021. McClinon was the first wrestler in ten years to win 100 career matches for Minooka.

McClimon had a good showing at Junior Nationals in Fargo this summer at 160 lbs.  In Freestyle he won his first three matches before dropping a match in the Round of 32 and the next round to go 3-2.  In Greco-Roman he finished with a 1-2 record. He competed and placed in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman at the state level in Illinois.
