Cullan Schriever and Jace Rhodes won titles at the Luther Open in Decorah, Iowa. Schriever won two tech falls and a decision before defeating Kaden Anderlik (Upper Iowa) by a 13-5 major decision to win the Elite 133 lbs. title.
In the Silver 133 lbs. class Rhodes won two major decisions and a decision before defeating Dominik Mallinder (Wisconsin-Whitewater) 9-5 for the title. Schriever is a sophomore and Rhodes a true freshman are both from Mason City, Iowa.
Also placing for the Hawks was second place Kolby Franklin (Elite 197), Mickey Griffith – third (Elite 184), Brad Hill – third (Elite Hwt), Gage Marty – third (Silver Hwt), Joe Kelly – fourth (Elite 157), and Easton Fleshman – fifth (Silver Hwt).
The two divisions were the Elite and the Silver that was for freshmen.
