Felicity Taylor of the University of Iowa will be on the Team USA roster for the World Cup this weekend. The World Cup will be at Xtreme Arena on Saturday and Sunday, December 10-11 in Coralville, Iowa. This will be the first time that the men’s and women’s World Cup are being held at the same time and location.

In the women’s division along with Team USA will be teams from Japan, Mongolia, China, and Ukraine. There will also be an All World Team of wrestlers whose country did not qualify. You can count on world class competition that will be entertaining.

Taylor, originally from Spillville, Iowa (South Winneshiek HS) is a senior at the University of Iowa. She transferred from McKendree to Iowa. At McKendree she was a national champion and four-time All American.

This past year Taylor won a U.S. Open title and placed fifth at the U23 World Freestyle Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. Taylor is currently ranked #2 at 53 kg/116 lbs. on Team USA.

The Iowa Women’s team will compete unattached this year and officially begin competition next year for the 2023-’24 season.
