Eleven members of the Iowa Wrestling team competed at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Drake Ayala, Aiden Riggins, and Bradley Hill won titles.
Ayala had a fall and two tech falls before defeating Cory Land of UNI in the finals by a 7-2 decision to win the title at 133. At 165 Aiden Riggins had two tech falls, a fall, and a decision before winning a 14-3 major decision over Matt Connolly of Loras in the finals.
At Hwt Bradley Hill recorded a fall in 1:29, 1:53, 1:53, and 1:21 before winning a 3-1 decision in the finals over Gannon Rosenfeld of Wisconsin.
Joel Jesuroga placed second at 149, Charles Matthews was third at 125, Jace Rhodes placed fifth at 133, Carter Martinson was fifth at 157, Easton Fleshman was fifth at Hwt, Aiden McCain was sixth at 184, and Carson Martinson was seventh at 165. Sebastian Robles did not place at 165.
