It was another impressive weekend of competition for our incoming recruits. To start with I need to mention Keyan Hernandez. Last weekend Hernandez took the first loss of his high school career. This weekend Hernandez defeated that very same wrestler, Mason Gutenberger, 5-1 to win the 120 lbs. title at the Jud Beck Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula, Montana. Hernandez is now 22-1 on the season.
Kale Petersen won the 132 lbs. title at the Perry Invitational. Ryder Block continues to have an impressive season by winning the 138 lbs. title at the Bob Sharp Invitational in Ankeny.
Gabe Arnold and Ben Kueter won titles at the J-Hawk at Cedar Rapids Jefferson. Arnold scored 72 match points in three tech falls and Kueter had three first period pins.
