Incoming Iowa recruits Kale Petersen (132) and Ryder Block (138) won hard fought semifinal matches to make the finals at Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
Petersen came from behind at the end of the match to defeat Dalton Perry of Pennsylvania 9-6. Petersen will face Kyler Larkin of Arizona in the finals.
Ryder Block defeated Landon Robideau of Minnesota, 6-3. This was the first match of the tournament that Block did not win by tech fall or fall. Block will face Daniel Zepeda of California in the finals.
The Junior National Finals will follow the March of Champions at 5:30 PM CST today.
Koye Grebel (138) and Keyan Hernandez (120) were eliminated from the tournament.
Petersen, Grebel, and Block are in the Recruiting Class of 2023 and Hernandez is in the Class of 2024.
