Austin DeSanto of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club won a silver medal at the Poland Open in Warsaw, Poland today. DeSanto won his first match over Abdaladze of Georgia by a 11-0 tech fall. He then topped Rzazade of Azerbaijan in the semifinals, 4-3.

In the 61 KG finals DeSanto dropped a hard fought 6-3 decision to Daton Fix to place second.

Team USA was 1-2-3 at 61 KG with Fix-DeSanto-Nahshon Garrett.

Pat Lugo of the HWC competed at 65 KG where he went 0-2 and did not place.

Team USA won the team title by a large margin.
