Marylynne Deede of the University of Iowa will compete at the 2023 NWCA All Star Classic on Tuesday, November 21 at 6 PM CST.  Deede will face Latifah McBride of Life at 160 lbs. at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State.

Deede is ranked #1 in the NCAA rankings and McBride is ranked #1 in NAIA.

Deede transferred to Iowa from Augsburg where she was a national champion last year and a four-time All American. She has one year of eligibility remaining.

Deede, originally from Springville, Utah, has competed at 155 lbs. for her college career. She placed sixth in 2020 and third in both 2021 and 2022. This past season Deede won the NCWWC 155 lbs. national title with a 31-2 record with 8 pins and 18 tech falls.

The NWCA All Star Classic will be streamed live on FloWrestling.
