#3 Iowa will host #16 Oregon State on Sunday, November 19 for the home opener. The wrestling will begin at Noon. Tickets are sold out in legendary Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the third season in a row.
Nine Hawkeyes could make their Carver-Hawkeye Arena debut.
At 125 #11 Drake Ayala will face #18 Brandon Kayler. Iowa has both #9 Brody Teske and Jace Rhodes listed at 133. #1 Real Woods will take the mat for Iowa at 141.
At 149 Iowa has both #9 Victor Voinovich and Caleb Rathjen listed. Rathjen has not competed yet this season.
#2 Jared Franek (157) and #5 Michael Caliendo (165) will make their Carver-Hawkeye debut.
At 174 Iowa has Aiden Riggins and true freshman Gabe Arnold listed against #11 Travis Wittlake, an Oklahoma State transfer.
At 184 Brennan Swafford will face #3 Trey Munoz, the highest ranked wrestler for Oregon State.
#23 Zach Glazier is listed for the Hawks at 197. It will be an all-Iowa Hwt match with Brad Hill of Iowa (Bettendorf) facing Boone McDermott of Oregon State (Dubuque).
The meet will be streamed live on BIGt with Alex Marinelli as the color commentator.
On the radio 800 KXIC will have Steven Grace and Mark Ironside calling the meet.
