Brianna Gonzalez of the University of Iowa has been named the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Region 5 Women’s Wrestler of the Month. On the season Gonzalez is 10-0 with four pins and five tech falls.
Gonzalez, from El Monte, California, is currently ranked #4 at 116 lbs. in the NWCA Rankings. Last season she competed unattached in her first year in the program.
The varsity program will be in action next on Sunday, December 17 at the Las Vegas Desert Duals.
