The NWCA/NCAA Women’s Coaches Rankings were released today. Iowa remained ranked #1 with fourteen ranked wrestlers.
Iowa is ranked #1 with 113 points followed by North Central at 107 and King with 89 points.
The Hawks are led by #1 ranked Emile Gonzalez (101), Reese Larramendy (143), Marlynne Deede (155), and Kylie Welker (170).
Sterling Dias (101), Ava Bayless (109), Felicity Taylor (123) Nanea Estrella (136), and Ella Schmitt (143) are ranked #2.
It is especially impressive when Iowa has the #1 and #2 ranked wrestlers in the country like they do at 101 and 143.
Iowa is on a collision course with North Central and King at National Duals this Friday and Saturday (Jan 5-6) in Cedar Falls. I will have a preview of National Duals later this week.
