Joey Kennedy announced on Instagram that he has committed to the University of Iowa. Kennedy is a senior at Kasson-Mantorville in Minnesota and will be a member of the Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2024.
Kennedy is currently ranked #3 at 152 lbs. in AA by The Guillotine and is projected to compete at 157/165 for the Hawks.
Joey is the younger brother of Patrick Kennedy who is ranked #9 in the country at 174 lbs. for the Hawks.
I will add Joey to my list of incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits that I follow on this blog.
As I have done for years I will post a blog on Friday of where our incoming recruits will be competing for the weekend and a follow up blog with results.
