Kylie Welker of the University of Iowa will represent Team USA at the Zagreb Open. The competition will take place in Zagreb, Croatia at the Sport Hall Dom Sportova in the first Senior Ranking Tournament of the year.
Elite competition from around the world is expected to compete in Men’s and Women’s Freestyle and Greco-Roman on January 10-14.
Welker will compete at 76 KG/167 lbs. on Saturday, January 13.
Welker, a redshirt freshman from Franksville, Wisconsin, is ranked #1 at 170 lbs. for the #1 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes.
Iowa Hawkeye NCAA National Champion Terry Steiner will be the head coach for the Zagreb Open. Steiner has been the National Women’s Head Coach for Team USA since 2002.
