The Iowa Hawkeyes are in second place at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships (NCWWC) after the first day of competition in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Hawks put ten wrestlers in the semifinals and have two additional wrestlers that earned All American status.
North Central is in first place with 127.5 and eleven semifinalists, Iowa is second at 113 points and ten semifinalists, and King is in third at 104.5 with eight semifinalists.
Iowa and North Central have five matchups in the semifinals where North Central is a favorite in three of the matches.
Only ten wrestlers and one from each weight will be able to score points at the NCWWC Championships.
The Semifinals will be at 11 AM today and the Finals at 7 PM.
