Incoming Iowa recruit Naomi Simon won the 170 lbs. title at Junior Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa today.

In the finals Simon pinned Amarisa Manuel of Michigan in 2:49 for the title. Simon was 4-0 on the day with three pins and an 8-1 decision.

Last month Simon, from Decorah, became the first four-time State champion in Iowa girls wrestling history. 

In the recent National Girls High School Rankings Simon is ranked #3 in the country at 170 lbs. and #23 in the overall P4P (pound for pound).

Simon is in the Iowa Women’s Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2024.
