The 15th annual FRYfest will be Friday, August 30 at the Hyatt Regency Coralville and Convention Center. Since the first FRYfest in 2009 this is a great way to start off the new year of Iowa Hawkeye sports.
Named after legendary Iowa Football Coach Hayden Fry, FRYfest is a celebration of Iowa Hawkeye sports the day before the season and home opener of Iowa Football.
Part of FRYfest is the “The World’s Largest Hawkeye Tradeshow” where you will find anything Iowa Hawkeye related.
Iowa Wrestling will be well represented at the 2024 FRYfest. Hawkeye national champion Rico Chiapparelli is a member of the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The new members will be available for autographs from 10AM – 10:45AM.
The induction ceremony for the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 is open to the public and will begin at 5:30 PM CST on Friday in the Feller Club Room at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Dan Gable will be signing autographs at FRYfest from 11AM – Noon.
The 2024 NCWWC national champion Iowa Women’s Wrestling team will have an autograph session from 3:30PM – 4:30PM.
