Six Hawks will be competing at the Grand View Open on Saturday. Wrestling begins at 9 AM at Ignit Sports & Fitness in Grimes, Iowa. Fifty-four teams from across the country are registered to compete on sixteen mats.

This will be the collegiate debut for elite recruit Angelo Ferrari who was the overall #1 recruit in the country in the Class of 2024.

149 will be interesting to watch with Caleb Rathjen, Kael Voinovich, and Miguel Estrada. Rathjen was an NCAA Qualifier at 149 last season for Iowa.
Last weekend at the Luther Open at 149 true freshmen Voinovich won the title in the open division and Estrada won the Fresh/Soph division in impressive fashion.
Joey Cruz is in the mix for the varsity spot at 125 where he competed in the opening dual meet at Oregon State.
Ayala, Voinovich, Estrada, and Ferrari are in the Recruiting Class of 2024.
