The University of Iowa Women’s Wrestling team won two dual meets in Marietta, Georgia. The Hawks were originally to face Life. An additional dual meet was added and Iowa also competed against Hastings, ranked #11 in NAIA.
Iowa defeated Hastings 46-1. Iowa won eight of ten matches contested and two by forfeit. The Hawks had four pins and four tech falls. Katja Osteen needed only :21 for a fall at 207.
Iowa defeated Life 30-14. Life is ranked #1 in NAIA and are led by #1 ranked wrestlers at 138, 145, and 160 and twelve ranked wrestlers.
Iowa won seven of ten matches with three pins and two tech falls.
For the two dual meets Iowa went 17-3 with seven pins and six tech falls.
Iowa will have their home opener on Saturday, November 18 when they host Cornell College and William Jewel starting at 1 PM.
