Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits were on the mats this weekend. Harvey Ludington continues to tear them up. He won the Mustang Classic in his home gym where he was 4-0 with two pins in :36 and :40 and two tech falls. All four matches were decided in the first period.
Isabella Gonzales and Samantha Sachs won titles at the 116-team Queen of the Hill in Corona, California on Friday and Saturday.
Gonzales won the title at 120 where she was 6-0 with five first period pins. Sachs placed first at 130 where she was 6-0 with four pins and two major decisions. Impressive results in tough competition.
Paolo Ciatto competed at the Pearl River O’Connell Tournament on Saturday. I am unable to find results at this time.
Our remaining recruits did not compete this weekend.
