Spencer Lee will compete at the Kunayev D.A. International at 57kg in Taraz, Kazakhstan on December 19-22.
This will be the first competition for Lee since he won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics this summer at 57kg.
Qualification Rounds will begin at 11:30 PM CST on Thursday and the Medal Matches will be at 7 AM on Sunday. Kazakhstan is 11 hours ahead of Central Standard Time.
USA Wrestling has not released information on a livestream for the event at this time.
Lee will be supported by Hawkeye Wrestling Club coach Daniel Dennis and Pat Lugo will be his training partner.
Lee was a three-time NCAA national champion for Iowa. Lee will close a successful year that included winning the World Olympic Games Qualifier and Pan American Championships.
The official cycle for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will begin with this event and I am expecting very good competition for Lee.
