Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits were on the mats this weekend. The big news was that elite recruit Leo DeLuca competed for the first time this season following an injury.
DeLuca competed in two dual meets at the Journeyman Armbar Duals in Clifton Park, New York. He did not spend a lot of time on the mat with a pin in :31 and 1:26.
Paolo Ciatto also competed at the Journeyman Armbar Duals where he was 2-1 with a fall and tech fall.
Harvey Ludington continues to score quick pins. Ludington was 2-0 at the Jackson Liberty Duals on Saturday with a pin in 1:16 and :10. On Friday night in a dual meet Ludington had a :29 pin.
Leister Bowling placed 6th at the Doc Buchanan Wrestling Invitational in Clovis, California. This is always one of the best high school tournaments every season. Bowling was 5-2 with two tech falls and a major decision.
