The Iowa Women’s Wrestling team will be at the NCWWC Region VII Championships in Indianola, Iowa on Saturday, February 22. Wrestling begins at 10 AM in Cowles Fieldhouse on the campus of Simpson College.

The top four in each weight will qualify for the 2024 NCWWC National Championships on March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa

The Hawks are the defending national champs and ranked #1 in the most recent NWCA NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll. Iowa is #1 with 124 points followed by North Central at 90 and McKendree with 74.

Iowa has six wrestlers ranked #1 in the country: Rianne Murphy(103), Brianna Gonzalez(117), Macey Kilty(145), Kennedy Blades(160), Kylie Welker(180), and Jaycee Foeller(207).

14 of the 15 wrestlers that Iowa is sending to compete are nationally ranked. 

Only ten wrestlers can score points and only one wrestler is allowed to score in each weight class.
