The Iowa Hawkeyes remained ranked #1 in the final NWCA NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll of the season. 

Iowa is #1 with 130 points followed by North Central at 88 and McKendree with 74.

Since the last rankings on February 7 Iowa went up six points and North Central went down two points.

Iowa rolled to the team title at the Region VII Championships in Indianola, Iowa last weekend. The Hawks won all ten weights and five wrestlers placed second for a perfect day of wrestling.

Iowa still has six wrestlers ranked #1 in the country: Rianne Murphy(103), Brianna Gonzalez(117), Macey Kilty(145), Kennedy Blades(160), Kylie Welker(180), and Jaycee Foeller(207).

Iowa has a ranked wrestler at all ten weights.

Overall Iowa has 15 ranked wrestlers.

Emmily Patneuad entered the rankings at #6 at 131 after winning the Region VII Championships last weekend.

The Hawks will be looking to defend their national title when they compete at the NCWWC National Championships on March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa.
